This section contains a number of position statements on key issues, and reasons for those positions, which have been approved by National CURE.
Each statement has been approved by both the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of National CURE. Much of the preparatory work was done by a committee of CURE members formed for that purpose.
Other positions will be added as they are formulated and approved. Any CURE member can submit a proposed position to the Executive Director, who will forward it to the Executive Committee, or to the Position Committee if further development seems advisable.
It is hoped that these position statements will be useful in many ways, such as:
To help establish a coordinated, nationwide reform program.
To answer questions on CURE’s position.
To educate others on CURE’s programs.
To provide a nucleus for each chapter’s positions.
To guide testimony on key issues.
